FYS Fellows Survey Results Report
Research • Data Synthesis • Report Writing • Program Assessment
As Director of First-Year Experience at York College of Pennsylvania, I regularly collected feedback from the peer mentors who worked with first-year students in our First-Year Seminar program. Their observations and experiences helped keep the Fellows program relevant, effective, and satisfying. The survey report became a key presentation of the program's work and assessment for mentors, faculty, campus partners, executive leadership, and the Middle States Evaluation Team.
The report brought together quantitative survey results, written comments from Fellows, and insights from individual conversations. The data were analyzed to identify trends, determine what was working, and pinpoint where the program needed to change.
The resulting report led directly to proposed changes in training, program structure, communication and support for the next cohort of Fellows.
Selected work: Survey analysis and interpretation • qualitative and quantitative synthesis • report writing • recommendations • information organization
